Getting Ready for the Audobon Society Wild Arts Festival

Ann has been busy with bird art as she prepares for the Audobon Society’s Wild Arts Festival, held at Montgomery Park this November 17th and 18th.  Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming out of the kiln–these pieces, based on scientific prints,  have been fused and are ready to slump (mold into a shape in the kiln).

Stay tuned to see the final result, and don’t miss them in person at the event!  Take home a piece of Portland, where we love to “put a bird on it.” Tickets are $6 for adults, and kids 12 and under are free.  Ann will have a booth at this festival celebrating nature in both art and books to benefit the Audobon Society of Portland.  This festival is in its 32nd year, and according to their website “is the Northwest’s premier show and sale of nature-related art and books.” In addition to her booth, Ann will also have pieces available in the silent auction fundraiser and the 6″x6″ Wild Art Project.
